I didn't know much about Viva. Viva Goals seems like a good tool. In my company the HR department (aka People Dept.) use a Cloud app called BambooHR and we set goals and track progress that way, not sure if it as good as Viva Goals but I don't think it integrates with Teams.
I checked the BambooHR tool, and seems that it doesn't have a specific module or functionality like Viva Goals.
Viva Goals has so many great things, like the complete management process with the OKR framework behind it and the full integration in Microsoft Teams. Both make it a fantastic tool for defining and tracking the company's objectives.
My concern is what is going to happen with the existing information (objectives, key results, metrics, progress, etc.). There is so much valuable information that I can't believe Microsoft will lose the opportunity to provide a service or application to manage it.
As I said, I'm convinced Microsoft has something in the backyard to replace it.
